For my birthday this year, I think I want to go somewhere interesting and do an artist workshop. I was originally thinking Burning Man, but I’m starting to think I’d like to do something a little more introspective.

I’m definitely closer. If nothing else, now I have a “finite” place. Life is good.
Unbelievably, the world is a much shinier and happier place now that I’ve pushed in a slide that’s been out for 20 years. TWENTY YEARS!!!
I’m giving it until the end of February (six months from the screw removal). Then I’m heading back to the surgeon or someone and making them x-ray it or something. Because I’m guessing that, if they would have looked at an x-ray or MRI or whatever, they would have seen that the screw was in the wrong place…now I just want to know what the deal is with the outside of Righty, and I want some visual proof of whatever they think it is…of course, Cara may have been right when she said that I should try positive reinforcement and can’t dwell on it…especially since my necklace fell off twice the next day (haven’t worn it since), but I digress…
Despite the fact that I put my $500-some plane ticket on my credit card this morning, I had paid all of my credit cards down to 0 just last month! Life is good…
Everything is going slowly. I almost can’t stand it. I’m on my third mechanic, but I think this one is going to be the good one. Currently the Elky is sleeping in the school parking lot—and several people have looked into having it towed, thereby proving the parking tag system completely useless.
Getting the screws out has done the trick about 95%. I just have to bide my time for the accompanying tendonitis to subside now that the irritant is gone, and I should be good to go 100%. What a crappy experience. Thank God it’s almost over.
Wow. Sure haven’t checked that one in a while. The bump did turn out to be an Achilles tendon tear. Anyway, the process for getting the screws out of Righty starts in August. Should make a big difference.
So the last couple days I’ve had some anxiety dreams. One was some sort of weird band festival thing where I was still a kid, but my adult horn buddies were there. In the other one, I got kicked out of one of the orchestras for not practicing. I guess that’s my psyche telling me to practice…
Got an MRI on Lefty (oddly enough, the “good ankle”). Luckily, the bump on the back isn’t an achilles tendon tear. Righty has been relegated to a tight sock for now. We’ll see what the next “step” is on Wednesday at the doc’s…
The tech school is currently “pimping my ride” for the cost of parts. So far I’ve shelled out $30-some for a carburator kit. We’re also talking heat, air conditioning, transmission, radio…maybe even outlets in the back. I’m downright jazzed. I need to get cracking on some sketches and start making clay slabs of color. Life is good.
I had the tattoo planned for a couple years before I got it done. Still cracks me up. I definitely wouldn’t recommend spontaeous permanent body art.
While living with mom and dad will allow me to bide time until the lofts are done on the other side of town, I have a feeling it’ll only feed my ulcer…
Like I said, purging is definitely on the agenda. I talked to the new owners from the hair place down the street. They have NO IDEA what they’re getting into…
I’m actually doing this. I need to buy a case of water and drink it out of the bottle for now, but whatever works.
This has taken on a whole new meaning now that I’m moving. Do I get a pod? The garage out back? A storage unit? I kind of like the garage idea, since it would be easily accessible (of course, my cousins pointed out that it would be easily accessible to folks interested in stealing my stuff), and I could keep the Elky there, too. However, the folks aren’t settling on the house until February 23, so the garage won’t be available when I have to be out by the fifth…Uck.
I got word in the mail yesterday that the state is going to pony up $1,289 for me to glue stuff to my car. Is this a great country or what?!?
