If I can do it--so can you!! 18 months ago

Well, I’ve officially lost the 10 lbs (and then some) I originally wanted to over a year ago. In 3 months I lost 4-5lbs gained some of it back and then 3 months ago I changed my lifestyle completely and have lost over 10 pounds and going on to my next ten. I know I will do it because I am not looking for a quick fix, anyone who is looking to drop 10-20 pounds a month will gain it back, because they have not changed their eating and exercising habits. My advise is: Take it slow, make sure you’re motivated and you have SUPPORT! I joined Sparkpeople.com and I find it has all of that and more!!! Good luck to everyone!! If you’d like to know some tips on how to lose it the healthy way, let me know I’d be glad to help!

No weight loss yet? 2 years ago

Samtrix had mentioned Spark People the other day and curiousity got the best of me, anyway I found some “Expert Info” on why the weight gain or lack of weight loss in the first 6 weeks of an exercise/diet program happens. I found it encouraging, wish I had of read that 4-6 weeks ago. :) check it out…

Emotionally setting weight loss goals 2 years ago

So now that this weight loss thing is becoming real for all of us, I’m considering changing my goals somewhat. How do you know when you are where you should be for you? I had a couple of goals in mind…My weight when I got married, my weight before kids, my weight 3 years ago, I’m 29 and don’t want to look like a little kid but don’t want to look like an old “frumpy” lady either. Theres only a difference of about 10 pounds between goals but on 5’2” it really makes a big difference.
So I guess my question is when do you know what is the weight you should aim for, not including BMI but emotionally?
