How I did it: We got there with Sea Harris They run daily trips to St Kilda (Weather Permitting) from Leverburgh on the Isle of Harris.Boat is very comfortable and fast, and gives you enough time on Main Island of Hirta to see the historical buildings. If you're fit enough you have plenty time to climb the hills, get close to the edge of these awesome sea cliffs and get some spectacular photos.Highlight is when Seumas takes the boat out to borera… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Whirlwind tour of Rajasthan with a driver hired in Delhi. Saw Bikaner, Jalismer, pushkar, Jodhupur, Jaipur. Then train from Jaipur down to Mumbai and then from Mumbai to chill out for about 5 days on Anjuna Beach Goa. Read how I did it…
I’m due backdated money from work, not only have I been on emergency tax since i started (over 6 months ago) but I’m due overtime and holiday. I spoke to Laura in N.Z. and she also wants to go to Peru and Bolivia. Bolivia not on my list, but if you’re in South America you might as well see another part of it.
I hope to persuade some friends to come, more the merrier (well lets say 6 max) :-)
ok, need to get fit 1st and thin enough so I don’t end up looking like Daavid fom Little Britain when in a wet-suit. Western Isles are one of the best places in UK for surfing, have plenty friends who surf and would be willing to show me the ropes.
It’s perfect way to spend your weekends, the suf community on the island all seem to really nice people and know how to have a good time.
