I have Fibromyalgia and when I stretch before bed, I wake up in less pain. I’ve been stretching for a very short period of time ALMOST every night and I’m hoping to work my way up to a yoga routine eventually.

I am now committed to volunteering for at least 6 months at a local animal shelter. Training begins at the end of March. :)

Since middle school, I’ve volunteered in a variety of places. At spaghetti suppers, ice cream socials, an animal shelter, I’ve sold trees for the Lion’s Club, helped coordinate a pet supply drive, a food drive, and a warm clothing drive. The warm clothing drive was the most amazing experience of my life. We (a class of 6 people) were able to get many businesses and organizations across the state involved and collect over 2,800 items of warm clothing!

No matter how small or large the project you are involved with is, you are making a huge difference.

Most people don’t volunteer because they have never been asked, so I am asking you all to go find somewhere to volunteer and make a difference!

I’m coloring with crayons every night using my left hand and it’s hard, but it’s fun to go back to the joys of childhood, and I’m learning pretty fast. :)

I’m also using the mouse with my left hand.

I’m going to start brushing my teeth with my left hand tonight.

Update:

The first time I tried coloring with my left hand, my grip was weak, I couldn’t put much pressure on the crayon, my control wasn’t that good, and my hand got tired pretty fast. I’ve been coloring for ~5 days now and my grip is pretty good, my control/pressure is much better, and my hand doesn’t get tired as fast.

The other night I grabbed my toothbrush with my left hand and started brushing without even realizing it!



Become a vegetarian

I’ve been a vegetarian for ~3 years.

I’ve never been healthier in my life. I lost 30 lbs. and went from being sick 24/7 to never being sick. I also have a lot more energy. :D

PS – Being a vegetarian is 50% more effective at reducing CO2 then buying a hybrid! (And it saves you money instead of putting you into debt!)

Who am I? 11 months ago

I was going through that “Who am I?” stage last year. It was so horrible to have that thought constantly swirling through my mind. I found out who I am through my Interpersonal Communication class.

I AM ME.

Stop searching. Just do what you love. Keep exploring your interests and expanding them. You need to be comfortable with the fact that you are constantly changing and you will never be able to fully define yourself.
