I’ve been a chem lab TA at a university for the past two years. It’s a requirement to graduate with a PhD in chemistry (or if the adviser is lacking on funds). It’s a good experience, but grading sucks. It definitely helps with remembering long forgotten chemistry, though, and it’s awesome to get paid to go to school.

I got some summer work published in Organometallics, and I’ll probably get another paper out soon for a little bit of work I did on another project. I’m not first author on either, but my name is in print!
I guess I haven't technically done this..

..since I did date a psychopath, but I do it now.
If there is one way to cure the “fix-it” syndrome, this is it. Dating him was the most painful experience of my life, not only because he made a terrible boyfriend, but because it’s so painful to watch someone go through untreated bipolar disorder. It breaks my heart just thinking about what he went through, and it breaks me totally thinking about the way he treated me.
Stay as far away from the manipulating mess of untreated mental disorders as you can.
