Today is the day I really start (Easter Day). Yes I’ve said it before a million times, but really, honestly it is. I’ve worked very hard so far this month, so am expecting a substantial wage, and if I can put £50 away this week, then that would be a very encouraging start.

This is going to be difficult to achieve since, although my debt isn’t huge, due to the nature of my work, I often can’t make a full months wage. Luckily I should be able to put some money away in April and May, and that might allow me to stop worrying about it as much.

I know I can do this!

I had another lesson on Monday, and I can feel myself improving. I also got a hold of the Highway Code, so I should start studying for my theory test this week. I have another lesson on Wednesday, and I am about to start another manoeuvre following the turn in the road.

I do still get nervous expecially doing right turns and also at traffic lights at particularly busy parts, but I suppose confidence comes with experience.

Well I have now had five lessons with my new instructor, and I’m getting much more confident. I can drive around the streets of Glasgow till my heart’s content, only problem being mild panic when I reach traffic lights or roundabouts. Once I sort out my money, I’ll try and have a couple of lessons a week, and then I think I’ll really notice a difference!
