Well, I DO know that I have been making SOME healthier choices. I also know that I haven’t made healthier choices all the time. I also haven’t weighed myself so I don’t know exactly how I’m doing. I’m sure drinking more water is helping, and I think my pants are fitting a bit looser, but I can’t garuntee that. So, in other words I’m doing okay, just not great. Now that I have gotten a hang on the water drinking, maybe I need to start focusing on this.
What I really need to do is join WW.

I'm doing okay

Well, I decided I needed to update because I am doing fairly well. I definitely haven’t accomplished this goal, but I have greatly improved. I don’t drink water everyday.
I have found that my success relies on two things:
1. Having a specific container that is strictly for water with me at all times.
2. Having water available to refill with.
The container must be one that has a straw (or straw mechanism) in order for my success. Seriously. I don’t know why, but if it’s in a cup or something with a pop-top, I don’t drink as much. But, if it has a straw, it’s gone before I realize it.
We can’t drink the water from our faucet. I’m not one of those who won’t drink tapwater, it’s just that we can’t where we live. I’m afraid of what might actually be living in our pipes that have been around since before my grandmother. We do get water delivered (well, it gets delivered to my MIL and we pay her to take some off her hands) and if my husband forgets to go pick it up and it’s not available…I forget to drink water.
I have two water containers that I use at work. One stays on my desk at all times. This way, when I’m in my office, I know that there is something there for me.
The second container stays in my car. When I get to a location where I will be working for the day, I take that with me.
I find that, as long as it’s contantly filled, I drink it.
I have stopped measuring how much I drink because I am well past the 48 oz point. I mean, each container holds 16 oz and I refill them at least 4-5 times a day (many times more than that). I just have to get consistent on the weekends and outside of work. I can’t rely on my water consumption just at work.

Yep! That wasn’t so bad in the least! It’s just now 12:30 and I have already had my quota for the day. I’m going to stop here though. I know more would be okay, but I also don’t want to over do it. I want to make this a natural thing and don’t want to come running out the gate all gung-ho and just fizzle out because I burned all my desire to do this.
I want to make sure that I do this right and that it’s something I am going to adopt as a way of life. So, I’m on my way!
I know in about 30 minutes I’m going to be running to the bathroom, but I’m okay with that. Things are going well!
