I was determined not to gain the freshman 15. I don’t drink, so this was not my issue, it is simply that my mom is no longer here to provide healthy meals. I love to cook- I do so all the time. However, it is way more convenient to head out to Chick-fil-A on my meal plan (Yes, the meal plan is my major downfall.) than to cook something myself in my very tiny kitchenette. I weigh more than I would like to, still not too much, but if I don’t fix my iron, cholesterol, etc. I can run into some serious problems.
To fix it? I decided to take two kinesiology courses this semester: Volleyball and Aerobics, and I have started making dinner for myself (Boneless, skinless chicken with vegetables, etc.) almost all of the time. Hopefully it will get me somewhere!
I got my guitar a year and a half ago for my birthday. I never really had any time at all to play, and it just ends up sitting around in my room gathering dust. (A shame, I know.) I am finally getting the time and motivation to really learn how to play, comfortably and well. I sing, so I would love to be comfortable enough on guitar to sing along. I have learned one song – One Sweet Love, by Sara Bareilles. One day, I want to write some of my own.
