Class was great. Many of the mysteries of piecing were revealed! I was the slowest, most novice, only leftie student (of course), but the instructor was so patient and helpful. I’m really glad I finally did this. The shop is very welcoming and full of great stuff. So, the only drawback is the probable new obsession of fabric.
It would obviously take me a lifetime to piece an entire quilt this way, but it seems like a good introduction to sewing—straight lines only!
The needles and thread are ridiculously tiny, so I might need to invest in some sort of high-powered lamp, but other than that this feels promising.
The shop offers a whole series of beginner sewing classes, so I hope I can follow-up.
