The inspiration behind this ‘Memory Diary’ is my grandmother. She is in her 80s now, and in the past couple of years she’s begun to suffer from Alzeimers and is frequently confused. The saddest part is that she often can’t remember that her husband has passed away, and she is furious that he has “nipped out” and has been gone for ages. I know its sweet, and perhaps easier on her sometimes, but I’d hate to forget the important things in my life. So every day I want to write down one thing that I remember from my past. Like the day I got my first bicycle, or the day my fiance proposed to me. All the special memories that I’d hate to ever forget.

I prepared a business plan & approached my local council for approval. I decided what services I was going to offer and worked out what prices I needed to charge to cover my costs + 10% for contingency. I then registere… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I found out that two of my friends were also interested in going, but neither of them wanted to go on their own so we arranged to go together to our local Equestrian Centre. We took weekly lessons and shared lifts so we were less likely to miss a week. We did have a few falls but got straight back up & redid the jump or whatever caused the fall so that our confidence wasn't knocked. Its been great and I think we'll k… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Browsed some national websites to see what was available within our budget. Then we narrowed down our choice of make & model that we would like. Then we checked the websites again to find matching cars, including how old a car we wanted. Once we found relevant cars, we picked the best value ones that were within 50 mile radius and travelled to test-drive. We haggled lots with the dealers and got the prices down… Read how I did it…
