F*ck Mondays. 3 years ago

Today is Monday, but at my place Monday isn’t just another day of the week, it’s a happy day. That’s right, a happy day, and therefore our department starts the week with a Happy Monday meeting!

While the rest of the working world spends Monday mornings half-awake sipping extra large coffees and trying to shake lingering hangovers, we’re all corralled into a meeting where we’re told to celebrate the “vortex of creativity” that surrounds us, and that we all need to “dance to the same music” and “challenge ourselves with bigger obstacles”

Of course, Happy Monday isn’t to be confused with Blue Skies Friday, which applies to every Friday regardless of the weather outside. And with Blue Skies Friday, comes The Blue Skies Friday meetings, which were originally started as a way to draw upon the “vortex of creativity” that surrounds us, but it’s has actually morphed into a late-week b*tch session, at the end of which everyone agrees on what they want to talk about at the Happy Monday meeting.

Have you ever "googled" your signifigant other, an ex, or anyone else? 3 years ago

Last week I googled myself. I share my name with a dominatrix and a boom operator from Australia. Oddly I couldn’t find myself….

go through an entire day at work without someone wigging out
Today was MY day.... 3 years ago

...to wigg out!

Basically my deadline was moved up a week earlier and I flipped out! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to garner any sympathy beacuse as I spun around to pull something off my desk, I dropped a box full of metal cables (don’t ask) onto my foot and proceeded to drop as many variations of the “f-bomb” that I could think of.
