$1000 in cash is now had.
The inspiration was provided by someone else, but ultimately I made two loaves of honey wheat bread. It wasn’t as bad of an experience as I had thought. Baking always seemed like more science and less creative. Now that I know the worst thing that can happen is really just making something that would be thrown out, it’s less fearsome.
I realized that it’s probably better to hold on to the phone as a back up rather than sell it for a few bucks.
Wrote that entry 33 weeks ago. In those 33 weeks, I’ve….. started over. Between some major life upheavals, mostly everything was put on the back burner but now things seem to have settled in a little bit and I’ve gone through the 8 chapters again and am up to chapter 11. Trying to get my company to send me to the intensive training session in Dallas later this year.
does mineral water count? in my quest to reduce the amount of soda that I drink, I’ve taken up the habit of drinking Pellegrino and adding a lemon half to it. Drinking nearly 2 bottles of this a day, would this justify as drinking more water?
After a more than 2 year search, I have his contact information. Now I’m just unsure as to what the next step should be. I don’t want to be a wedge in his current family life and I have little interest in knowing the how’s and why’s in regards to his relationship with my mother prior to my birth, but I need to find out the family medical history. The search began when one of my best friend’s died suddenly of congestive heart failure at 28. He wasn’t obese and was an athlete when he was younger. Apparently he had a genetic disposition to it but having been adopted, he never knew his birth parents’ medical history.
but as of June 2006, I’ve earned more than double than I had in all of 2005. It definitely feels like a major accomplishment.
Went there on a whim back in 2001 and have pretty much gone back each year since then at different times of the year and loved it each and every time. Could totally see myself living there if I was able to speak French.
in “Agile Web Development with Rails”. So far, so good and pretty enjoyable. This is the first time I’ve ever been truly interested in a more serious back end language (as opposed to my usual forte of XHTML/CSS/JavaScript).
Currently though I’m a little daunted. Have a meeting tomorrow with the new boss about where I want to grow with the company (a heavy .NET firm) and where I want to take my career. I’m having an extremely difficult time in answering that.
