This year, my hubby and I put in super efficient windows in our almost 100 yr old house. Last year we re-insulated the attic.
Baby steps seem to be the best way to approach this goal.
I’ve recently started following the traditions of Sally Fallon’s book “Nourishing Traditions” and Mary Enig’s book “Eat Fat, Lose Fat. I love the food and I’m not really missing not going out to eat at all – not that this is necessary, just more practicle to stick with the ideals of the book.
In a week I’ve lost about 6 lbs without feeling deprived at all. In fact sometimes, midway thru a meal I just have to stop eating… I’m too full to eat any more.
So, I’ve been brewing for 3 weeks now. I already killed a scoby and had to get another one to continue my fermenting. I am doing well on the drinking it every day so far. I think I want to try to do this for at least a year and then reevaluate.
