How I did it: I always use the four day Thanksgiving weekend to get all my cards written, stamped, addressed. The preparation starts the weekend before that. I buy my cards every year immediately after Christmas/New Year because of the awesome deals on them. So I already have cards when I start. I have my list of people to send cards to. I start by reviewing the list for additions/deletions. The list is categorized into family, friends, colleagues, etc… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I sat down last night and thought about all the things that had made me happy as well as sad in the past year. Things that made me sad or mad gave me an idea of the things as I want them to be, things which would make me happy. Well all the business travel over the past few weeks has not been kind to my waistline or this goal. I have put on 3 lbs. :( I do have a couple more trips planned but I plan on having better control over myself and what I eat in the future.
I am also thinking about joining Weight Watchers since we have an onsite group at work as well as a gym (which I should be using more often). I hoping this will help me regain the momentum that I seem to have lost.
Rummaging through my desk drawer, I came across a collection of ball point pens and some paint (watercolor) bottles. The paint was all dried up so those went into the trash immediately. Of the about twenty pens, only 5 were still working so the rest were thrown out, too.
Two goals with one throw! :-)
