organize medical insurance papers electronically (read all 2 entries…)
logical order exercise 3 years ago

I’m wondering if the most logical way to electronically (with ably complex database program) organize many MD visits would be:

first, by DOS – date of service
then, by CPT code – procedure performed

then, there are two different insur-cos (IC1, IC2), so
IC1 billed amt
IC1 disallowed amt
IC1 deductible (my pocket 1) amt
IC1 benefit paid
IC1 explanation code/notes

IC2 billed amt
IC2 disallowed amt
IC2 deductible (my pocket 1) amt
IC2 benefit paid
IC2 explanation code/notes

INSTEAD of organizing by insurco EOB (explanation of benefits), which is way I started with

one of my goals with all of this is to enable storage of paper (EOBs) as PDF files (element of database record), and more important, enabling me to easily and quickly ask computer to calculate totals by combined $ category, perhaps most important, to verify that MD’s office filed claim properly

go somewhere near the Alpes, in France, the countryside, or better yet, in the mountains. A couple hours after sunset, once it’s good and dark, simply look up, turn your head this way or that. An enormous white smudge is surrounded by a billion billion little lights.

The quiet and enormity are moving, you’ll hear what you’ve never before. Just breathe…

make tons more space at home (read all 2 entries…)
to make space, must get rid of stuff - but energy to do so is greatly lessened 3 years ago

I’ve collected lots of things, including terrific renovation tools (I’m certain to again need), remainder wood from projects I finished at home (most of which I’ve not the heart to throw away, but am unlikely to be able to use anytime soon), and hordes of paper (amassed by ignoring the only remotely important, and transporting to a pile, that became several, then were partially organized).

This collected stuff is my home public enemy #1—no, my cats don’t care about that stuff, it’s only I who find it more than a little oppressive.

The challenege is that I seem to have had considerably greater energy to make these various collections than I seem to have now. After my morning wake up, email review, breakfast, and news consumption, I’m ready for a rest.

I think my MS has recently taken another bite out of my energy stores, making small projects often appear far larger than before.

I’m meditating, counting, getting there…
