stop eating sugar
Why?

This is one of my current goals.

Why?

Because sugar is poison and I’m tired of treating my body like a garbage disposal. I want to improve my skin, my energy levels and my future.

Yesterday was day 1, it went a little something like this:
- Woke up and wasn’t hungry for hours so I didn’t eat
- Got a low-fat coffee
- Forgot to eat for a few more hours
- Went grocery shopping and bought low fructose/fructose-free/sugar-free natural foods such as pears, dark rye bread, eggs, walnuts, salmon etc
- Ate a yummy salmon and salad sandwich
- Around dinner time the sugar cravings kicked in and I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I broke the cravings by eating a handful of almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds. That did the trick.
- Had dinner which was roasted/boiled vegies with a low-fat hamburger pattie
- Sugar cravings kicked into overdrive immediately after dinner so I ate a bowl of natural yoghurt with a handful of frozen raspberries. Worked like a charm.

What have I noticed from day 1?
- My sugar cravings hit around the afternoon and immediately after dinner.
- Going without bad sugars for the day made me feel slightly depressed though my energy levels were the same.

Interesting experiment!

make do and mend
I have enough...I am enough.

This one is really important to me and one I want to do for the next 12 months. That is my challenge to myself:

- Make do with what I have for 12 straight months
- No buying new clothes
- No buying new shoes
- Only exception is underwear/bras etc
- If I desperately want a new item of clothing, I can only buy it from an op shop/secondhand store

My wardrobe is literally overflowing with new clothes, most I have never worn. I have had a spending habit, thinking that a new item of clothing would make me happy…but it never does. The money I save on buying new clothes could be put into better use like paying off my credit card, saving up for my trip to Japan and just general savings for the future.

This starts now. No excuses.

lose weight
Untitled

More specifically 5kgs (11Ibs). After that I would be happy just to tone up.

My reward for losing the weight: A pair of Black Milk leggings!

Not setting a goal date as I will take all year if I have to, I just want the weight off healthily.
