How I did it: I used to work downtown, and I would park six blocks away and walk so I'd get free parking. On this particular day, I'd parked in my usual spot and left my umbrella in the car because it wasn't raining.Two blocks later, the skies opened and the heavens started pouring down. How I did it: I spent eight years in college trying to "make it" in academia. I had a neat little plan laid out for the whole rest of my life - a preprogrammed career.
