How I did it: I created this goal. I wrote a short entry. I marked this goal as "done." I selected the "How I Did It" feature, which can be found on the goal screen or on my list of completed goals. I filled in the boxes. I saved a draft. I published my "How I Did It" story. I deleted my "How I Did It" story, just to see how it works. Now I'm adding a new "How I Did It" story. Read how I did it…

...and I finished two books. One of them is due at the public library very soon, and the other I found in my church library the day before yesterday. Both books have very similar themes, and both tie in to things I’ve been learning and discussing in my spiritual formation group. I also read parts of several other books I had lying around, including a few pages of the Iliad.
I had not planned to spend the entire day reading, and I knew that I was really procrastinating from attending to some of the mundane but necessary things I needed to do, like paying some more bills. At some point late in the day I realized that I was also trying to escape my melancholy mood, a mood that seems to descend upon me at the start of every November, the anniversary of my mother’s death.
