Conquered the UV film on the doors of my craft hutch! That stuff is tricky. There are a few bubbles sealed in, but all in all I am pleased with the application. Now all my fabric is protected from the sun. Worthwhile!

I need to begin to winterize my apartment. It was very drafty last winter & I was sick a lot. I need to do some caulking around baseboards & sew up some draft dodgers—I have 50lbs of sand in the backseat of my car for filler.

As I look back at my first list of what was left to be done—I see that I was underestimating things a bit. Other than the pillows—I have done all those things—but my current list is still long. I need to strip & paint some furniture finds from the thrift store. There is always more to be done. There is a lesson here…

So I felt guilty about my beloved stuffed animals all topsy-turvy in a garbage bag under the bed. So now they are in a very pretty box from Ikea—all upright & split into groups, so they can talk amongst themselves. My cat is obsessed with the box (as she was the black bag) & is always trying to get the top off. Very strange.

Yes, I have succumbed to the charms of the Baby Panda at the National Zoo. We watch the pandacam all day at work & I can’t wait to see him in person when he is big enough to be outside. I have been reading up on the plight of the Giant Panda & now want to see them in their native habitat. There are many things in China I’d love to see as well—my mother has always been fascinated by the terracotta warriors—I’d love to see them too. Gotta start a vacation fund so I can go to all the places on my list. Galapagos first, of course!
