How I did it: I did this back in August when I took my now-boyfriend to Laughlin for 2 days. We went there early in the morning and just spent time looking around when we got there. We live in Vegas so it was only a 2 hour drive. We checked into our room for the night. And woke up for breakfast and left. It was just a nice little get away without actually getting away. I must be the only person ever to have never seen a shooting star. The other day we were at a halloween party, everyone was just outside hanging out and Babe was like “look, there’s a shooting star.” I totally missed it. Then 5 minutes late, he saw another. I suck. We are definitely going to the next meteor shower. Well, maybe the next next one. I heard the one in November sucks.
