There are two people in my life that I met on the Internet who I consider “Forever Friends” – and I think they would say the same. I have met each one in person only once, and it was not necessary to have met them in person. I would love each one just as much if they were purple with orange polkadots!! Each is fascinating and inspires me to “go for it!” Our correspondence is regular if not always frequent – and has continued for almost 5 years. Each is a treasure and I consider myself blessed to know them and have them a part of my life.

I know why the storage business has a larger gross than the movie industry! Fortunately I have a barn, but it is beginning to overflow. I’d like to sell some of the stuff but what is really needed is to just throw things away. But what if I need it later? What if someone else could use it? I can’t subscribe to our disposable ethic – the land fills are overflowing – but so is my barn! There just isn’t a place for everything, so there it sits – until I rearrange the clutter. If I could sort everything out then I could see if there are duplicates – there MUST be! Every time I get rid of a bag of stuff I feel so good – but like the brooms of the sorcerer’s apprentice – clutter seems to multiply. It doesn’t seem to be a matter of “just do it.” Advice welcome!
Taking an early retirement was the first step out of the box. Passed exam for US Coast Guard 50 ton Captain’s license, now have charter sailing business on own boat. I maintain the boat myself – 37’ built in 1939 LOTS of sanding and painting as well as electrical and mechanical systems maintenance. I can single hand the boat, but it is more fun to have others on board. Am likely heading to the Bahamas from Maine this fall. I LOVE IT! http://www.sailsowelu.com
