...if you only think about it for half a second, there’s chances everywhere.
Hold the door open for the next person walking through it, man or woman.
Give someone hand signals while they parallel park, give people enough room to merge into your lane,
miniscule things will surprise most people, and it’ll surprise you how fast it changes the way you feel.

The first American colonists loved rum. After the revolution, the obscure whiskey of some back country farmers became the favorite, in part because unlike rum, rye and corn whiskey required no trade with england. Long after settling a riot with grain farmers over whiskey, Washington became a distiller himself. Recently, archaeologists, historians, chemists and master brewers got together and put together a batch of the stuff. In 2006, it will be ready and auctioned to charity and I’d better do something impressive and expensive before then to have a chance at bidding.
My kindergarden teacher read us a story about leprechauns and rainbows and gold at the end. That summer in Mexico, I was riding with my grandfather when a storm started approaching from the west. A rainbow ensued, and I told my grandfather about the gold. He said I’d better hang on pretty tight if we wanted to catch it because rainbows move pretty quick. So, for who knows how long I was hanging on as tight as I could as we ran further and further into the rain, soaking our nice saddle, our poor horse and of course, ourselves through and through. It was worth it.
