go to Italy

Just got back. Italy was the most disappointing places that I have ever visited. I went during the summer, horrible time, and it was just infested with tourists and there was nothing absolutely stunning about it. The Italians that I encountered were rude. I was sick with strep throat and a horrible cold, stranded in the airport after a flight was cancelled, dehydrated, and the police laughed at me when I asked for water.

I just returned from living abroad in Chile and I thought that Chile was more developed and beautiful. Try South America for a more authentic experience. Italy is way too cliche.

I do, however, plan on going back one day during off season. Maybe it’ll be different.

i lived in Chile for a year with a Chilean family – and still can’t do this. i HAVE done it very very few times without realizing it, i want to be able to do it on command!

If you only want to go to one country, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

Chances of you going to Japan are slim, since everyone and their mom wants to go there. There’s absolutely no where else that you want to go?

I spent my year abroad in Chile and it was absolutely incredible. Would do it again in a second even though the experience is ridiculously hard. 6 months of torture and 3 months of fun – worth every penny!
