At least this time I know beforehand. Too much going on this past weekend and next weekend to manage a trip to Seattle. BUT, the Oregon Ballet Company will be performing “Emeralds” in October. My guess in the next couple of years they will be staging Jewels. Worth the wait, worth the drive to Seattle!!!!!!

I better look up what the NY Ballet Co is doing in August, since I’ll be there dropping my son off for school….

seems to be the best medicine (uh, thanks Hal and Norm). I’m still not hive free (a small one is trying to break free on my left forearm as I type), But I am off the prescriptions. Managed to step down from the steroid the second time just fine, and just stopped taking the other one because I didn’t like the side effects. Still taking an over-the-counter antihistamine, but that seems to keep most of the buggers at bay. Almost feel back to normal, whatever that is!

Came back from vacation on the Big Island, and 36 hours later broke out in hives. Weird thing is that it happened 7 years ago—the last time I went to the Big Island. Same MO. Day or so back from vacation and I’m all itchy.

But it’s been a MONTH!

Last time, a couple a days and over the counter Benedryl and I was good. I’m taking four different medications this time (and I don’t like taking ANY medicine!) I missed a dose on Wednesday morning, and by that evening I was covered again in red spots.

I’m on the “step-down” phase of the steroid for the second time. When I got under 15mg last time I broke out, so I went back up to 20mg for a couple of days. Just took the first of a few days of 10mg, and I’m crossing my fingers.

Anybody else out there have stories? Any alternate treatment?
