live on an island
island living

living on an island is the loveliest feeling ever. the breezes, the flowers, the smell of the water totally surrounding you… it’s heaven. i got a taste of it when i lived in hawaii for 2 summers and i will never be the same for it. i can not forget the way it felt to never want to be indoors again, to spend forever and a day lying underneath a palm tree and breathing in slowly the sweet fragrant air.
when you live on an island, the world moves sloooowly, in the best way possible. no one rushes, the attitude is always, “let’s get there when we get there.” it’s the perfect setting for someone who doesn’t own a watch, and never intends to. it’s as if the islanders are isolated from the world in the same way that children are isolated at the kid’s table… left alone to play with their food and tell dirty jokes where the adults can’t scold them.
it’s the most fun i’ve had in my life.
