Unfortunately, my new insoles took much longer than expected – the podiatrist’s estimates were too low! And they will take even longer to break in. So I won’t be participating in the 50km charity walk in early November, as the 3/4 length insoles always cause horrendous blisters after about 30km.
Instead, I will be the support crew for my partner during the charity walk, and once I’ve broken in the new full length insoles, I’ll do the walk by myself. As a bonus, I get to save the $250 registration fee!

I’ve finished my final 6 month course of the nasty medication that normally makes me stack on weight – this time I actually lost a fair bit! So now sticking under my daily caloric allowance, tracking it with iShape. Day 1: Under! Day 2: Under! And some exercise reducing daily calories further. Day 3: Just made it.

Restarting, while slowly recovering from the nasty fibro flare. Day 1 – 30 minute walk outside to capture the sunset. I didn’t expect it to be only 10 degrees (Celcius)! Day 2 – 20 min walk + 10 min weights + 10 min stretching. Need to stretch more! Day 3 – 40 min walk. Day 3 – 20 min walk, 10 min stretching. | |
