i probably wouldn’t have gotten thru this goal so soon if it weren’t for my playwriting class at school. i had Lynn Nottage as a professor which was already amazing, but she is also a great professor!! she didn’t baby us at all—she gave us a deadline for our full length scripts to be done and helped us along the way, but most of all just said, no matter how hard it is, you have to have a full finished draft by this date. i had about 2 months to write the play and it came out really well! i ended up getting one of only 2 A’s in the class!!
now that i’ve done it, i know that it’s possible and that makes everything better. i’m currently working on another full length play—this one is for my senior thesis in college. it was a great experience tho very tough to keep pushing through. go for it!!

i haven’t had BAD experiences with mine that i’ve had for a year and a half now, but they haven’t been fabulous either. it took longer to heal than i would have hoped and its honestly not very exciting at all. like it’s cute, but it’s really not everything i imagined it would be. frankly i and probably most others dont notice it at all most of the time and ppl hardly ever see it—only when i’m on stage for a dance performance maybe.

i originally wanted to learn spanish because i am a quarter puerto rican and when i went to my TIa Carmen’s 100 birthday party a few years back (which was essentially a puerto rican family reunion) i felt so ashamed to be one of the very few relatives that knew absolutely zero spanish.
now i have another reason to learn! a guy that i am dating and will hopefully get pretty serious with is half cuban half colombian. he speaks fluent spanish and his parents (whom are so sweet and i’ve met) speak VERY little english! i really want to be able to even have a halfway decent conversation with his parents in the near future. so i will have to be getting on with this goal sooner than anticipated.
cheers!
