learn to snowboard
Basics, Check 2 years ago

So this year I learned the basics, getting up, falling down, getting up, moving forward a little, falling down again…

After two days I managed to get down a blue slope without falling, which, in my book, is pretty good. But I know that I’m still fighting the board, not working with it. So next season will be about getting more comfortable and more familiar with the feeling of smearing down the hill as opposed to slicing into it.

Is it worth the bumps? Absolutely, but remember to wear wrist guards and waterproof gloves. Those combined definitely saved my hands from freezing and snapping off.

have better posture
Untitled 3 years ago

I complimented one of the girls at Aveda about her posture and she said that she uses an exercise ball as her desk chair. The constant need to balance reinforces the core muscles that are necessary to maintain correct posture. I’m at week two and already I find that I at least sit up a little straighter, even at work. Now I just have to translate that to when I’m walking around.
