if I don’t buy it I don’t drink it. Novel concept, eh? I did give in and buy a Mountain Dew Baja Fresh (large, which is what I used to drink often) at Taco Bell the other day but it gave me such an incredibly horrible headache, it just reinforced my resolve to not get back into the soda habit. I swear they put stuff in soda that’s addictive, and not just caffeine, though. Fortunately this time I didn’t go out and buy more soda at the store to get rid of the headache.
right now, I’ve been eating a salad with greens and broccoli and tomatoes (and sometimes other stuff like green onion, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, etc) for/with lunch everyday for a few weeks and substituting green or orangey veggies for starches most of the time at other meals. I feel a lot better too, more energy, less ‘blah’ heaviness … I’ve also been eating nuts and raisins as my afternoon snack rather than hitting the chips and/or soda too, but that’s another goal. ;)
