I’ve been training for about a month now, and needless to say, I’ve made some progress. Possibly slow progress, but progress nonetheless. When I began, I could barely run a mile. Now, I’m running four and a half miles a few times a week at a pace that is much faster than my pace from when I started. It was a pain at first, but when I finally decided to slow down my training pace a little, I ran my first three-miler and have been addicted to running ever since. And despite my decision to slow down my training runs, I’ve still managed to build up some speed, so now I’m running faster and farther than I was then.

How I did it: I didn't really have anyone to learn it from, maybe because I was too embarrassed to ask, so I went on various knitting sites, watched the knitting videos, and looked at the photo tutorials. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I didn't like meat to begin with anyway — I find that it looks repulsive and tastes bad, so I just decided to stop eating meat one day and I've been vegetarian ever since. Read how I did it…
At this point, with my internet addiction kind of under control, I’ve kind of improved my self-discipline, but it’s still not quite to the level I’d like.
I added a browser extension (for Firefox) called PageAddict that tracks how much time I use on the Internet and on which sites. It also allows me to control how much time I spend on those sites and blocks access after my time limit is up. I just set it for all sites, so once my time is up, I can’t use the Internet for anything else, no matter how important it may be. I think I’m already starting to learn to use my Internet time more wisely! I just don’t like that it doesn’t block itself…
To complement it, I also installed TimeTracker, which tracks how much time I’ve spent browsing the web for the day. Both are quite useful, and I’ve been more productive today and yesterday than I have been for nearly a month!
On that note, I’m getting off 43things, because I only have twenty minutes left…
