I started Tae Kwon Do figuring it would just be great exercise. And it was! But it was also so much more. It was exercise I loved. I wasn’t constantly watching the clock waiting for it to end. Keeping my mind busy on learning the technique kept me from focusing on the effort it took. After class I felt energized. I felt a sense of achievement. In the beginning I never expected to work my way up the belt levels but then I got my first colour belt and then my second. Suddenly, being a black belt was within the realm of possibility. Now I want it!
