Because you’ve started to think simple enough. The first rails stuff I did was too complex, and didn’t leverage the framework to its full extent. Since then, I’ve learned to really fly.

So this is worth doing, but only because it’s better than paying rent at this point, and because it makes my wife happy :-). I like the extra space, but the extra hassle and expense is a pain.
Someday I want to rent again, but from a holding company that I own :-)
