Minimal planning for this vacation. We just knew we wanted to head to the mountains, and get out of the Texas heat. Wound up spending a week in Taos, and another week outside of Durango, CO, before heading home. Had loads of fun. Hiking, horseback riding, even whitewater rafting. The mountains were sooo beautiful. Want to go back.

How I did it: All we knew was that we had 3 weeks of vacation, and wanted to escape the Texas heat. We headed northwest toward the mountains, and ended up spending a week in Taos and another week outside of Durango, Colorado. Every day was a new adventure...hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting...With no set plan, and plenty of time, we did not have to worry much about the weather..just take each day as it comes and make the most of whatever happens. Read how I did it…
The challenge here is to complete 100 hours of triathlon training (swim, bike, run) in 90 days, from 2/1/09 to 5/1/09.
143.5 pounds. body fat 33.2%
Losing some weight, but very slowly. I found that I need a real goal to work towards in able to become more fit. This may sound extreme, but I have begun a triathlon training program. So far I completed a half-marathon last October, with another planned for this Saturday. While I may not be losing a lot of weight, I feel that my body is stronger and performing better. My 1st sprint distance triathlon is planned for 1 March 2009.
