How I did it: I selected 11 people that I admired and respect their opinions. I carefully selected each person for a unique perspective including family, friends, my thesis advisor, historical figures and even fictional characters. I then sent the list with images to an artist on Etsy and had her sketch the picture for me. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I used an alternative educational program here in NY that allows people to change careers quickly rather than going through the undergraduate degrees and student teaching. First you take a year of courses while working your regular job. Then you get a Transitional Certification and teach for two years while taking classes and being mentored. “A Passage to India” by E.M. Forster. It was interesting – especially from an outsiders perspective. It’s easy to dislike both the English and the Indians at times. It was also intriguing to understand such a different mind set.
The man who wrote the book on Axe makers of Canada contacted me because his friend is selling a William Porter Welton axe. I wasn’t sure how to accomplish this goal but it might just happen soon!
