Amazingly rewarding

For everyone who’s trying to do this, I can strongly recommend it. Today I ran the Harbour Capital Half Marathon as I planned.
My final time was 2:03, which was slightly ahead of my target of 2:10. The last 3 K was agony as the walkers in the 10K were clogging up the footpaths, but crossing that finish line was worth every second of it.
Seriously, do it and you won’t regret it.
Definitely worth it

It took me two tries to really get running. 5k is a comfortable distance to aim for, not too far but also not a walk in the park.
Just remember to take it slowly, listen to your body and stop if it hurts. After a few of these you’ll be running 10k training runs and averaging 45k per week.
