I constantly struggle with the image of perfection…I know it’s not obtainable and yet I still beat myself up for not being there. I know I’m not alone on this one and I don’t understand why we do this to ourselves? No one else cares if I have a pimple today or if I gained 5 lbs…I guess it’s good to strive for perfection, but when your reaching for an unobtainable goal should we really be mad when we don’t get there?

How I did it: The reason I didnt get one sooner was because we live in my BF's grandmothers house and she hates cats, but she eventually gave in. I got my 1st kitty Sofia from a pet store. We walked in just lookng and saw her all alone at 5 weeks old we just could not leave her there. She need a freind though and about 2 months later i got Ernie. I addopted him from Kitty Kind an org that brings cats to the PetCo at Union … Read how I did it…
SO it’s been a life long struggle for me to appease the sleep gods and I have finally been able to make them happy….I have had insomnia since High School and really didn’t see an end in sight. Well apparently all I had to do was stop taking Birth Control pills….go EFFING figure. I didn’t do this on purpose mind you, I didn’t get my prescription filled in time and had to go on a work trip so i figured, well, I can give my hormones a break for a month, then the next month came and I was like…hmm maybe another month wouldnt hurt. I’m in a long term relationship and am not worried about getting knocked up…anyhoo i usually take ambien to sleep on work nights and on weekends i fly solo (and am usually up until 6 am) well low and behold Friday night I fell asleep BY 12AM!! amazing so I said lets see if I can pull this off again…well I did and have been for the past month with NO PROBLEM…I am ecstatic – its wonderful, but I can’t help but think of all of the hours I wasted needlessly awake or drugging myself to fall asleep, well no more of that for me – hopefully this success continues and I can finally put this problem to bed (pun intended :P).
