Reprioritizing This Goal

I haven’t really focused on this goal in a while, but for the last week it has started to make a comeback. I’m the kind of person who loves new toys and gadgets, and I found a website and app for my phone called Runkeeper that’s really helping me along. It will probably lose it’s novelty eventually, but for right now I’m having fun tracking my workouts and trying to beat my time/distance/speed records.

I’d really like to run a marathon one day (although I’m far from that). My first step is to do a 5K!

Stop smoking (again)
Frustrated at Myself

I quit smoking for three years, but started up again last May. I normally don’t make New Years Resolutions, but decided that this year I would quit. It only took two days before something stressful sent me running to the gas station for smokes. I justified it to myself (since it was a pretty serious emergency), but ultimately I am annoyed by myself. I know that this is something I can beat because I did it before.

But smoking just makes me feel sick at this point. I’m hurting myself and wasting money that I don’t really have. So, I’ve set a new quit date and am ready to roll. By the end of the month, I want to have spent at least two weeks completely smoke-free.

learn to crochet
Next craft goal

I love to knit, sew, and scrapbook. I’ve also been teaching myself to quilt. Even though I tried to learn to crochet in the past, I never quite got the hang of it. This time, I’m going to learn!
