Obviously I’m at school. I ended the summer with a few friends over for a little BBQ. I did as much with it as I can forsee myself doing, and anything I didn’t really get to do, I’ve done since then.

I got my septum pierced last night. I like the ability to flip it up if need be, aka around my house.
The experience was great. It was done by Allen at Utopia on Long Island, NY. Really good guy, all the aftercare stuff was free and he made a point to be very thorough in all his explanations. Earlier in the day I had gone to a guy in Koreatown in Manhattan and was quoted a lower price, but I really wasn’t comfortable there. I’m glad I waited and found somewhere I felt comfortable.
The best advice I ever found was I think on the Association of Professional Piercers website—don’t let a lower price sway you, trust your instints. And its so true.
Anyway, I got a 14ga curved barbell. It didn’t hurt much, it was extremely similar feeling to giving blood, I thought. I guess the needles are really close if you think about it. Regardless because it was my nose, tears immediately streamed out. I felt like such a little girl, but you can’t explain to your friends it not from pain; they make fun of you either way. Definitely glad I went through with it.
Summer is half over. I work in NYC. The beginning of summer was great and I thought the rest would be like that.
It has totally fizzled out and my days are boring as hell, I commute to work, I goto the gym(I do enjoy this part) and then I go home.
I haven’t really met any new people. I haven’t gone to a bar and made an ass out of myself. I haven’t made any new connections with girls… I don’t know how to stop being so lax about plans and bs.
I know I just need to jump head first into things, yet I simply can’t.
