What a pain in the ass they make this! I just immigrated officially on June 1, after living in Canada since Sep 16 of last year. $1500+ and 9 months later, and I am legal! Still have to import my belongings, car, etc…
Why is it such a big deal to move 60 miles from where my folks live? And to be with my husband, at that? Borders are becoming outdated, in my opinion.
Such hoops to jump through. Especially if you’re not as fortunate as I was in finding a Canadian to marry.
