My daughter is the most amazing person I have ever met. She is brilliant, fun, beautiful…her life is full of unlimited potential. I’ve come to realize that it is my duty as a parent, no, that my most important duty as a parent is to guide her to a beautiful life full of infinite possibilities. I may not always be great at this, but it is always my goal.

I published this photography book the day before Katrina unleashed her wrath on this beloved city. The book is self published, self funded…and I am so very proud of it. I have donated all profits to Katrina relief organizations, and will continue to do so as long as it is in print.
Because of my limited resources, I would love for a publisher to pick the book up and get it out there to a wider audience. Moreover, I would love to create an anniversary edition of the book – a hardcover, beautiful book celebrating the life, love and death in the cemeteries of New Orleans.
Ever since our wedding day, whenever we part, I tell my husband that I love him. This is part fatalist and part optimist. It was started becuase I feared that something would happen to tear us apart…and I wanted to make sure the last thing I said to him was loving.
