I was the quintessential fuck-up. I dropped out of high school and developed habits that need not be mentioned. My life took a downward spiral and I spent the rest of my teen years trying to survive. I began reading philosophy; it changed me.
I received my GED last summer and started college in the fall. I’m now 22-years-old and in my second semester of college. I fell in love with linguistics and languages. Hopefully I’ll be attending either UMass-Amherst or University of Arizona next year.
If there’s anything I want to obtain in life, it’s a PhD. I would love to become a professor. Maybe I’ll do some great research. Who knows. But that’s the great thing about getting an education: Your options aren’t limited anymore.
