How I did it: This is something that I've wanted for years. Made an appointment, took care of some other issues (root canals, etc.) and got the molds done for my braces. 2 weeks later, had them placed! I have the Six Month Smiles braces. How I did it: I kept my caloric intake to around 1200 a day. I also did between 30 minutes and one hour on a treadmill 3 or 4 days a week. I'm very busy as I work full time, go to school and have 2 children, so some weeks I only made it to the gym a couple of times and could only squeeze in 30 minutes.
