Found some great recipe websites and, because I’m too cheap to use printer ink, am copying some appealing recipes into my recipe notebooks. Yay!

We made it through one week all the way through! We had good meals, though some were simple meals. I just had to be sure to thaw something out before supper. If nothing else, I’m inspired to go another week. If we can make it through the whole month, then we might have kicked the fast food habit altogether!
Well this may not be what I had in mind when I wrote this goal, but I guess it fits here. I got a whole mess of fresh rosemary from an Aunt in Arkansas. I had read that you could use rosemary as a flea bath for a dog. Since my dog had recently gotten some fleas on her, I decided to try it. I put a handful of the rosemary into the washtub with some water and left it in the sun for a bit to warm it up. Then the kids washed her in the rosemary water. Oh my goodness! The fleas were jumping off her like crazy! Not only that, but she hasn’t gotten any fleas on her since and it’s been about four days.
