Thank you, government! Thanks to a GST cheque (with a bonus to help low income households become energy efficient), I could put my last paycheque into my savings account!

How I did it: I didn't actually see a show on Broadway, but I saw a London West End production of Wicked when I was on vacation in England this year. I'm counting it as one of my 43 Things, though, because the quality of productions in the West End seems on the same level as Broadway. I just made it a priority to see a show while I was there. How I did it: The most important thing was making sure I had enough money. I made sure I had enough to carry me through one month of all expenses, plus extra to help with startup costs. My sporadic work is tiding me over quite well! Despite still having spending money, and accounting for a little extra spending for a trip to Vancouver next week, I am now up too…
4,500/5,000!
500 to go! Can I possibly make it!?
Miraculously, I’ve made it to…
4300/5000 = 700 to go.
The only thing is, I’m not sure if I can save $700 before I have to start using the money in mid-September, as I only work sporadically now. Still, I feel quite proud, and this means I can travel to England in June with no money worries! =)
