I am learning biblical Hebrew right now but want to learn modern Hebrew before I travel to Israel (sometime in the next year). Right now for the biblical Hebrew I am using the books: Aleph isn’t tough and Aleph isn’t enough. It is a beginner course I found in my local library. I am buying a cd set (Instant Immersion) for learning to speak it.

I contacted a Rabbi yesterday and am waiting to hear back from him. I live in a remote sort of area so this will be a challenge but I will see it through. I have been learning Hebrew and I am making decent progress at it. :) Feeling very optimistic.
