I’ve been a bit lazy and started by only choosing the ones to be emailed, but recently I printed my first five and sent them. I could do with some windowed envelopes with the window on the correct side (or spend time formatting) but I’ve found a way to use up my existing envelopes. Very pleased that one prisoner has already been released since my postal letter.

How I did it
How I did it: I printed photos every week and wrote on the back of them to show what I was up to. I talked about what I was doing and things that were going to happen. Always sound positive, your loved ones want to know you're ok when you are away from home. Read how I did it…

We looked up some techniques on the internet, confidently hired the equipment and gave it a go. First problem was getting the skis on but we accosted a fellow skier got the advice then got started. Hilarious fun, lots of time spent on the floor, but definitely up for trying again!
This was totally worth while. I wish I’d done it for my other grandparents too. Even if you can’t commit to once a week, keep in touch. it’s worth it.
