How I did it: Took a trip to the Big Island. Paid for a class with the Big Island Lifeguards. It was that easy. They taught us how to pop up, took us out into the water and pushed us into waves. It was fun! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Before this summer, the longest I had ever run was 3.5 miles. But when my sister AND my husband signed up for the half marathon, I was motivated to do it too!I stuck to my schedule of running 3x per week: short runs during the week and a long run on the weekend. I took an introductory course with Chicago Sailing and went home feeling excited for the next one.
However, I learned that sailing is not an inexpensive hobby and decided not to go forward with lessons this year.
I feel I’ve experienced sailing now, but I don’t know if one lesson warrants me checking this off of my list…
