So I’ve got a little further certainly improved a lot and I’m now firmly at an A2 level in French. Although I’m somewhat at an impasse now and need sometime to just absorb what I’ve got.
Found a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course here in Toulouse so I’ll be taking that next year in January or February. That’ll give me an income in France when I get a job to continue learning French :) woop!
Loving the language but man it’s hard. But little by little I’m getting there hoping to join some clubs when I get the TEFL course hopefully I’ll be working in Toulouse from Feb/March.

Well I’m approaching week 4 of my course (obviously I found and enrolled in one ;), It goes well I know I’ve learned a hell of a lot in the last few weeks, enough to be daunted by the journey ahead, but I’m used to that having biked for 6 months, although it’s now grey matter and muscle that needs the workout.
The difficulties in learning aren’t helped by my difficulties in meeting new people in Toulouse, something I’ve never had issues with before, I guess because I’m living here it’s a different experience and it’s hard to tell if I someone speaks even a little English just by looking at them.
I’m going to see if I can enrol in tandem projects through the school and I’m hitting couchsurfing to try and meet some people (blessedly the site tells you peoples language skills (a definite bonus).
So things are.. Going well I think :). We’ll see if in 3 months I can dispense with worrying so much and have more confidence, back to the grindstone for me!

So I biked up to 2,408 meters to get over the top of the Pyrenees so happy with myself. I have got the slight issue of exposure on the French side, it was horrific weather, I´d suggest going in June or July if you do this, NOT September
