It took a while because in that time, we each moved overseas - he has told me since that he didn't want to start anything before I went away for the year. I visited NYC recently, home of the mighty Strand Bookstore.

Since “read the classics” is a slightly ill-defined goal – when does it end? – I’ve decided to consider it complete when I’ve read the Strand 80, a list Strand compiled for its 80th birthday in 2007, containing 80 titles customers voted as their favourites.

Get new glasses
took a while, but worth it! 14 months ago

after 3 or 4 years of tiresome searching for frames i liked well enough to put on my face, moving overseas spurred me to make a better effort before i left. i bought a few boxes of contact lenses from the optometrist at the same time, but haven’t worn them since getting my glasses. :)
