Bloggin' and stuff 2 months ago

Hi peeps!

It’s been a while, I know. I’ve been to Europe and had a blast. I think for at least the time being I’m going to be a bit scarce on 43T. I’m finding myself a bit swamped with everything and there are too many other places on the net that I find myself (facebook, blog, occasionally Etsy forum).
I’m still popping in for the occasional lurk.
Here’s my blog url if anyone is interested (a bit Etsy/craft oriented):
http://undertheshadeofabonsaitree.blogspot.com/

Cheers!

Etsy 2 months ago

I had to change my Etsy store address. It is now:

http://www.ShadeOfABonsai.etsy.com

The attorney for the estate of Astrid Lindgren (author of Pippi Longstocking) contacted Etsy to give them a deadline for removing my store before they would take legal action. My shop user name was pippilangstrumpf (pippi longstocking in German). A name I set up as a buyer without considering shop names etc. Initially it was a bother because I had to spend a fair bit of $$ to replace promotional merchandise but they’ve probably done me a favour. Normally one can’t change etsy names and keep all old feedback and everything else in the store but Etsy admin did it for me. Now my store name is more appropriate.

Same author as one of my favourite books “Shadow of the Wind” – perhaps not as good as the former but a brilliant, engrossing read nonetheless and it had me pining for Barcelona again.

Yummy – syrup was a bit too watery though. I wish I had paid more notice to others’ comments before baking. Still yummo though.

A bit of a catch up! 6 months ago

I decided not to keep this goal open as I’d been duplicating entries since recently starting a blog but I think I might still do it sporadically.

  • A fantastic long weekend in Melbourne. Shopping, eating, drinking, catching up with friends, seeing family, music. It was my annual ME weekend away and really needed.
  • Liam’s 6th birthday. Poor thing was quite ill on his actual birthday – first day back at school after the holidays, I’d backed 30 cupcakes for him to take in and he couldn’t go. His party went quite well. It was the first time it was more of a school friend oriented one which in some ways was easier as the parents didn’t stay so it was a bit less chaotic and not as much cooking to do. They all had fun. Picture of the spooky castle cake I made which didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped.
  • My birthday – lots of phone calls (local, interstate, England, 3 from Germany), lovely presents, flowers, $ to spend, – the highlight was tickets to see Tori Amos in Amsterdam (fabulous surprise!)
  • A gorgeously fragrant package arrived from the LUSHous Ru. 4 LUSH bath bombs. Aroma climax.
  • Etsy sales, more creativity, compliments and feedback.
  • The head cold is dissipating and headache dissolving.

Time to update this! 6 months ago
  • My old friend Clair is coming to stay for a couple of night next month. She now lives in Scotland and I haven’t seen her for about 3 years.
  • The next market stall – next weekend!
  • Coraline in 3D will be in the cinemas soon.
  • Our trip to Germany is fast approaching.
  • Tori Amos concert in Amsterdam!
